• Gary started with the UPMC Health System in February 2012.  He transferred to CEM/STAT MedEvac in December 2018.
• He has as two daughters;  15-year-old Madison and 15-month-old Blake.
• Gary joined the Homeville Volunteer Fire Company in October 2003, and is currently serving as Assistant Chief.
• He enjoys taking family and friends camping as much as possible and visiting new locations.
• Gary loves having cookouts during the summertime with family and friends.

Caroline Levin, BSN, RN, CEN, CCRN, CFRN, PHRN

Fun facts:

• Caroline has been a nurse for 11 years.
• She enjoys traveling and recently took a trip to Colombia and the rain forest.
• In her spare time,  she teaches spin classes at Steel House Cycle in Lawrenceville.
• There are few things Caroline enjoys more than a good pun or dad joke.
• She has a black cat named Zorro who helps her embrace Spooky season every year by tolerating his Halloween costumes.
• Caroline is originally from Annapolis, MD and moved to Pittsburgh early this year, she is now a self-proclaimed “true seafood snob.”
• She is notorious for trying to bring “fun” to every shift, last year for the Day of the Dead, Caroline brought sugar skull masks for the entire crew to wear.

John Licina

Communication Specialist III

Years of Service – 5

• John started in EMS in 1998, while still in high school. He collects old guns and lava lamps.  His oldest gun is from the 1800s.  His oldest lava lamp is from the 1990s –  John would love to have a lava lamp at work 😊
• John enjoys traveling and learning about other cultures.  And of course, part of that is trying new foods and treats.
• He is a big history buff.  John went to school to be a high school history and political science teacher.
• His faith is a big part of his life.
• An odd fact that nobody knows about John – he has an extra back bone.  Despite this, he says he is still short.
• John spends his free time reading and doing genealogy research.

Jeffrey Pesarsick, MPH, FP-C, NREMT-P

Senior Professional Flight Paramedic

Years of Service – 10 years

1. When not at work Jeff can be found working on the and his wife’s farm taking care of 26 cattle, 12 sheep, and 4 cats.
2. Jeff is a Chief Warrant Officer 3 in the United States Army Reserves where he has served for 30 years as a Petroleum Systems Technician.  He has deployed to Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Kuwait, and Oman.
3. Jeff and his wife Erika have been married for 21 wonderful years.
4. Jeff is a PhD candidate in spatial epidemiology at West Virginia University where he is currently writing his thesis.
5. In his free time Jeff is an avid woodworker, enjoys spending time outside, and staying active.

• Jill knew she wanted to be a nurse for as long as she can remember!  It runs in her family – her Grandma,  Mom, and two aunts are nurses!!!
• She has 2 kids- 18-year-old Jake, and 14-year-old Jordyn.
• Jill is a self-proclaimed “Die hard Cheer Mom! 😂”
• She shares her home with 3 German Shepherds -Sadie, Sarge, and Simon.

Senior Professional Flight Nurse II with 22 years at STAT MedEvac and 30 years in Pre-Hospital transport/healthcare. 

• Jeremy volunteers his time as an adult leader for his local Boy Scout Troop, Sound Technician/operator for his church, an officer for his local high school Band Boosters (he played Tuba in high school/post high school, and still has a Tuba at home), and a member of the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company.
• He is also a casual instructor at the Greene County CTC in their LPN program.  He is also an Amateur Radio operator, N3PSS.
• Jeremy and Marti celebrated marriage of 20 years this year and have three teenagers at home.

• When Crista is not at STAT MedEvac, she is a full time Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), Department of Emergency Health Services and is the Director of the Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) Program.
• Though Crista and her husband currently live in Maryland, their hearts remain in Southwestern PA (Crista was born and raised in Fayette County & John is from Washington County, PA.). They bleed black and gold and even named their new puppy, Hines Steele!
