STAT MedEvac is a Direct Air Carrier E3MA774L and arranges and coordinates the operation of air ambulance services. All rotor wing flights are operated by STAT MedEvac. All fixed wing flights are arranged by STAT MedEvac and operated by contracted Direct Air Carriers.

Job Purpose for Flight Nurses and Flight Paramedics:


Functions as a member of the critical care transport team and is responsible for the care of critically ill or injured patients transported by the STAT MedEvac system.Responsibilities include patient care incorporating assessment, stabilization, and intervention techniques consistent with standards and protocols approvedby the Medical Director. The Flight Paramedic/ Nurse is expected to execute independent judgment in order to deliver appropriate care that is consistentwith the clinical protocols, when contact with a medical command physician is not possible. The Flight Paramedic/Nurse functions as a part of a team andshares responsibility for the team’s conduct. The Flight Paramedic/Nurse fulfills education and experiential requirements as established by the STAT MedEvacMedical Director, and performs other duties as assigned. Supports and upholds the mission, goals, and objectives of the STAT MedEvac system at alltimes.

Flight Paramedic

Requirements:

· No taller than 6’2”

· Must weigh less than 210 lbs at time of interview, and never exceed that weight during term of employment

· Current National Registry Paramedic certification

· Minimum three (3) years’ experience at the paramedic level with busy Advanced Life Support system

· Current Health Professional CPR Certification


Flight Nurse


Requirements:

· No taller than 6’2”

· Must weigh less than 210 lbs at time of interview, and never exceed that weight during term of employment

            · Current Pennsylvania Prehospital Registered Nurse (PHRN) Certification

Within 90-Days of Hire -- PARAMEDICS:

· Pennsylvania and Ohio Paramedic Certification required for all bases except M-10, M-11, M-13, & M-18

· Pennsylvania and Maryland Paramedic Certification required for M-10, M-11, M-13, & M-18

· Additionally, District of Columbia Paramedic license also required for M-10, M-13, & M-18

Within 90-Days of Hire – NURSES:

· Pennsylvania and Ohio RN License for all bases except M-10, M-11, M-13, & M-18

· Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and District of Columbia RN License required for M-10, M-13, & M-18

Required of all Flight Paramedics and Nurses within 90-Days of Hire:

· Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

· Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

· International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) or equivalent (PHTLS, TNCC, ATLS)

· Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

· Valid Passport

Within 2-Years of Hire:

· Paramedic: Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C)

· Nurse: Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN)
